Knitwear
Always keep in mind that knitwear likes cold water! The more you wash them, the softer they are!
We recommend washing your knitwear in a washing machine
- Wash inside out to avoid snags
- Use a washing bag if it’s possible
- Use a cold washing program – wool program
- The spin must not exceed 400 revolutions per minute
- Try to use a small amount of wool liquid detergent and avoid softener
You can also hand wash your sweaters if you don’t trust your washing machine, in that case please take into account the following:
- Do not soak your sweater when you wash it by hand, otherwise it might become felted
- Rinse abundantly with clean water and without twisting your sweater
- Roll up the sweater in a bath towel to remove water excess before letting it dry
- Lay your sweater out flat to dry, away from sunlight and heat sources to preserve its color and shape.
General recommendations:
- Avoid hangers which might stretch fibers and deform your sweater.
- Keep in mind that high-quality wool is a material that naturally releases a fabric excess which creates pills around friction areas.
- Use a cashmere comb. Lay your sweater flat and comb carefully with light pressure. You may find electric pill removers that will allow you to avoid damaging your clothes.
